The Al Zorah natural area, mangroves and lagoons in northern Ajman, is home to pink flamingos, herons and more than 100 bird species. The main way to visit is a guided kayak tour through the mangrove channels, about two hours, with gear and a briefing included and no experience needed. Tours are run by the operator Quest for Adventure together with Al Zorah. The price of around AED 150 is a guide; confirm when booking.
Tips
Book ahead — tours run to a schedule. Early morning is best, with less wind and more active birds. Bring a hat, water and sun protection.
