A town museum next to Fujairah Fort, telling the story of the east coast. The galleries hold archaeological finds from the Bithnah and Qidfa digs, Iron Age pottery and bronze, traditional silver and weapons, and reconstructions of the lives of fishermen and farmers. A compact, air-conditioned museum, easy in the heat and a good first read on the emirate's history. Pair it with the fort next door.
Tips
On Fridays it opens only in the afternoon. The air conditioning makes it a good choice in the midday heat. Fujairah Fort is a couple of minutes' walk away.
