The region's biggest heritage preservation project — five districts: Al Mareija, Al Shuyukh, Al Ridha, Al Kharas, Al Asmawi. Narrow 1820s lanes, the Al Hisn fort (Sharjah Fort, 1820), mosques, the Al Eslah school, Souq Al Arsah and merchants' houses with wind towers. Free entry — it's a public district; individual museums inside cost AED 5–10.
Tips
Best early morning or after 17:00. Pair with the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization (10 min walk) and Blue Souk (15 min). The Heart of Sharjah Festival runs on site in February.
