Jebel Jais, the highest point in the UAE, sits an hour from Ras Al Khaimah city up an immaculate hairpin road. At the top are the Jais Viewing Deck Park, the 1484 by Puro restaurant, hiking trails and paid attractions: the Jais Flight zipline (one of the world's longest, around AED 320), the Jais Sledder mountain coaster and a via ferrata. The price shown, around AED 100, is a guide for viewing-area access and parking; activities are ticketed separately. Evenings at 1,000+ metres are noticeably cooler than on the coast.

Tips

Book the zipline and via ferrata online in advance — slots sell out. Bring a layer, it is 8-10C cooler at the top. Drive up for sunset; the road itself is the attraction.
