Sharjah's flagship museum, under the golden dome of a former souk on the Corniche. Seven galleries: faith and science, astronomy, calligraphy, crafts, coins, arms and ceramics. The dome itself carries a gold-leaf star map. A calm, cool, very visual museum — great in the heat and with older kids.
Tips
Perfect in the midday heat — cool and unhurried. On Fridays it opens only from 16:00. The Al Arsah souk and Al Hisn fort are a short walk away.
