A small rocky island about 200 metres off Al Aqah Beach, nicknamed for a profile that resembles Snoopy lying on his back. Around it is a coral reef with reef fish, moray eels, cuttlefish, the occasional turtle and blacktip reef sharks. The island and beach are free; gear, a guide or a boat can be hired for a fee at the dive centres nearby. Visibility is best from September to May.

Tips

The best water season is September to May. Mask-and-fin hire, a guide and a boat are paid at the beach dive centres. Do not touch or stand on the coral — swim carefully.
