When to visit Dubai: seasons, weather, and prices
A breakdown of which months suit beaches, tours, and yachts — and when to skip the heat.
The short version
The best window for travellers is November through April. Daytime sits at 24–28 °C, the sea around 22–25 °C, and parks and promenades are comfortable from morning to night. From May to October it gets hot, especially July–August — but that's also when hotels and yacht charters drop their prices the most.
Winter: November–February
Peak season. Jumeirah and La Mer fill up, malls stay cool, and you can stroll Dubai Marina or Bluewaters in the evening without AC. This is the strongest window for families and travellers mixing beach time with sightseeing.
- Temperature: 22–26 °C
- Hotel pricing: high, especially around New Year
- Rain: rare, typically one or two days per month
Shoulder season: March–April and October
Warm water, long daylight, not yet brutal. This is our favourite period for yachts and cruises — the sea is calm and sunsets are long. Prices are noticeably lower than December.
Summer: May–September
Heat 38–45 °C, humidity around 80 %. Activities move indoors: Dubai Mall, water parks, IMG Worlds, Museum of the Future. On the upside, five-star rooms drop 30–50 %.
Heads up: the beach is barely used at midday — the Gulf heats up to 33 °C. People swim early morning or after sunset.
