Yacht rental in Dubai 2026: sizes, prices, routes, how to choose

The short version

A yacht in Dubai isn't a ride, it's part of the Dubai script. From a 30-foot sport boat for 6 people at sunset for 800 AED to a 95-foot Princess for 30 people on a private brunch at 8 500 AED an hour. All routes stay in protected waters — kids and non-swimmers are fine.

Where they leave from

Four main marinas:

• Dubai Marina — the default, 80 % of charters. Close to JBR, ready promenade, restaurants next door for a pre-trip lunch.
• Dubai Harbour (Mina Rashid) — newer premium marina, straight exit to the Gulf. Charters head toward The World Islands.
• Bluewaters / JBR — a redirect from Marina, slower exit.
• Atlantis Aquaventure / Palm — private mega-charters only.

Marina starts at the entrance of Marina Mall, 10 min from Downtown.

Sizes and prices

Speedboat 30-40 ft (6-8 people)

• 1.5-2 hours catamaran-style tour, 600-900 AED per boat
• Route: Marina → Palm Jumeirah → Atlantis → back
• No catering, BYO snacks and drinks
• Best for: photo trip, first time, light format

Yacht 45-55 ft (10-15 people)

• 2-4 hours private charter, 1 200-2 500 AED/hour
• Cabin with toilet and shower, BBQ aft (option)
• Route: Marina + Palm + JBR beach remote anchor
• Best for: couple or family of 6-8, romance, birthdays

Yacht 65-75 ft (15-20 people)

• 4 hours, 2 500-4 500 AED/hour
• 2-3 cabin, design already luxury, 22-25 knots
• Anchor swim-stop + catering from the provider
• Best for: group, corporate, hen/stag

Yacht 85-100+ ft (20-30 people)

• Brunches, banquets, corporate — 6 500-12 000 AED/hour
• 4+ cabin, VIP lounge, optional jet-ski on board
• Route: Marina + The World Islands + dinner at anchor
• Best for: weddings, fine-dining cruises, premium events

Mega yacht 100+ ft (30-40 people)

• Princess 95, Sunseeker 116, Azimut 110
• 15 000-25 000 AED/hour, brunch/banquet 1 500-3 500 AED/guest
• Best for: international conferences, premium weddings

Routes

• 2-hour classic — Marina → Palm Atlantis exterior → JBR coastline → back. Sunset, magic. 95 % of tourists book this.
• 4-hour extended — same plus an anchor stop at Palm West Beach for swim/snorkel, lunch on board.
• 6+ hour luxury — open water, The World Islands, anchor stop, Atlantis The Royal lagoons, dinner.

What's included

Standard (in the hourly rate):

• Captain and deckhand
• Light drinks (water, soft drinks)
• Basic safety: life jackets, snorkel masks

For extra:

• Catering from provider (350-600 AED/guest) or your own
• Champagne on board (from 350 AED per bottle)
• Jet-ski (1 unit = 800-1 200 AED/hour)
• DJ on board (1 500-3 500 AED)
• Photo/video operator (1 500 AED)

What's not included and matters

• Alcohol — UAE law: only licensed operators with an alcohol permit. Most Marina charters are dry; some have pre-arranged permits (200-400 AED add-on plus declaration). No open-bottle guest drinking under way.
• Smoking — deck only, not in the cabin
• Pets — not allowed
• Under 18 unaccompanied — not admitted
• Dress code — nothing visibly provocative leaving the marina; on board anything beach-style is fine

When to go

• Sunset 16:00-19:00 — prime. Light wind 5-10 kts, 20-26 °C October-April.
• For sunset — leave 30-45 min before, book accordingly.
• Summer (May-Sep) — morning runs 7:00-10:00, then 35+ °C and uncomfortable. Prices 30 % lower.

How to pick

1. Quote per hour, not per boat — otherwise comparisons don't work.
2. 12+ people — go 60+ ft, don't pack into a 50-footer.
3. Ask about the yacht's age — 2018+ vs 2010- changes cleanliness, condition, speed.
4. Ask about trip insurance for seasickness/bad-weather refund policy.
5. Capacity ≠ comfort. A boat "for 15" is comfortable for 10.

Tip: for NYE (Dec 31), book 2-3 months out — every Marina yacht goes. Rates double or triple. The Atlantis fireworks view from the water beats the shore.
