Top 17 must-see in the UAE
The honest list, no fluff: what's worth every minute, what is overrated, what people skip for no reason. Grouped into Dubai, Abu Dhabi and experiences.
How to read this list
This list is what we actually recommend to clients, not an ad for every UAE attraction. If you call us and ask 'what must I see in 5 days', the manager will name roughly these 17 points.
Each entry is a click to a detail page with prices, advance booking, visit time and tips. A short editorial note attached to each — why exactly this one is on the list.
Dubai: 7 points without which the trip is incomplete
The main must-sees in Dubai itself. From Burj Khalifa to Global Village — in order from mandatory-for-all to seasonal.
- 01Burj Khalifa — At The Top
The tallest tower in the world. Best time — sunset from At The Top SKY (124+148 floors). Book 2-3 days out, the 19:30 slot sells out.
- 02Museum of the Future
A silver ring with Arabic calligraphy — the most beautiful 21st-century building in the UAE. Inside — an immersive about 2071, biotech and space. 2-3 hours.
- 03Dubai Frame
A frame between old and new Dubai. The glass floor at the top — the best Instagram photo without a crowd. 1 hour.
- 04Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo
The largest suspended aquarium in the world, right inside Dubai Mall. Works for adults and kids. 1.5 hours.
- 05Dubai Miracle Garden
A flower park, in winter only (Nov-Apr). Close-up installations — an Emirates A380 made of live flowers. With kids, mandatory.
- 06Global Village
A bazaar-festival of 90 countries, winter only. Go in the evening, minimum 4 hours, on an empty stomach.
- 07Ain Dubai
The world's largest observation wheel (250 m). Couples and families. At sunset — 30 minutes for one full rotation.
Abu Dhabi: 5 points worth the day-trip
Abu Dhabi has a different character: calmer, more cultural, more expensive. These 5 are the reason to spend a day from your programme.
- 01Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
The UAE's main mosque, a white marble fairy tale. Free. Open to tourists until 22:00 (Maghrib lighting). Long sleeves required — they hand out an abaya at the entrance.
- 02Qasr Al Watan
The presidential palace, open to the public. Carpets, marble, mosaics — bigger than most European palaces. 65 AED.
- 03Louvre Abu Dhabi
A branch of the Paris Louvre under a perforated dome, through which 'rain of light' falls. The best museum in the UAE. 63 AED.
- 04Ferrari World Abu Dhabi
Ferrari theme park with the world's fastest roller coaster (240 km/h). From 295 AED. With kids 8+.
- 05Yas Waterworld
A waterpark a level above Wild Wadi. From 295 AED, best slide — Bandit Bomber.
Experiences: 5 activities worth booking
Not museums but experience. The kind that gets its own album in your phone.
- 01Dubai helicopter tour — 12 to 22 minutes
A 12-22 minute Dubai overflight — Palm Jumeirah, Burj Khalifa, Marina from the air. From 890 AED, book a week ahead.
- 02Skydive Dubai — tandem jump over Palm Jumeirah
A tandem jump over Palm Jumeirah from 4000 m. 2199 AED. The most expensive but most memorable activity on this list.
- 03Desert safari premium — private camp & falcons
A private desert safari in a 4x4 with a chef-cooked dinner by the fire. 650 AED — no 40-person group on one fire.
- 04Dhow Cruise Marina — traditional boat dinner
A dhow cruise around the Marina with dinner and traditional music. 220 AED, the best entry-level first-night activity.
- 05Burj Khalifa 124+125 floors + Fountain show
Burj fountains plus dinner at Atmosphere or Burj vertical lighting. 480 AED.
What gets recommended — and what to skip
The Pointe (Palm Jumeirah). Closed for renovation in 2024-2025, half-abandoned in 2026. Skip, unless there's an evening concert there.
Dubai Mall as a sight. It's a huge mall, not a museum. Inside there's the Aquarium, Fountain, KidZania — but 'walking around the mall' as a route point doesn't work past 1 hour.
Spice Souk + Gold Souk. If not on an Old Dubai route, skip. A tourist trap with identical discounts. Take an [Old Dubai walking + abra](/tours/old-dubai-walking-abra) with a guide instead.
Camel Race Track. Real races are rare, mostly training. Not worth a special trip.
The Lost Chambers (Atlantis). Good, but duplicates Dubai Aquarium. If you've been to one, the other isn't needed.
XLine Dubai Marina. Zipline over the Marina, 650 AED, 1 minute of flight. Bad on price/time. If you want a zipline — [Jebel Jais](/tours/jebel-jais-zipline-day) is far better.
