Wintering in Dubai 2026: long stays, rentals, visa and budget

Spend the winter in Dubai for a month or more: what visa you need, how to rent an apartment monthly, what about cards and internet, and what to budget per month.

The short version

Wintering in Dubai is easy: from November to April the weather is ideal, the infrastructure is developed, and there is a large Russian-speaking community. For a one to two month stay, settle four things: visa, monthly housing, money and internet. Rules change, so check current visa durations before you travel, with the basics in the .

Visa

  • Russians get short-stay visa-free entry, and for wintering people usually extend it or do a visa run.
  • There are separate visa options for long stays, so check the conditions in advance, they change.

Monthly housing

  • Monthly rental of apartments and serviced flats is markedly cheaper than nightly.
  • For value look at JVC and Dubai Sports City, for the centre Marina, JBR and Downtown. Areas are covered in the .
  • Check whether utilities, internet and cleaning are included.

Money and internet

  • Russian bank cards do not work, so keep cash and a working foreign card, detailed in the .
  • For remote work get a local SIM or home internet, with the nuances in the .

A monthly budget, a guide

  • A monthly studio or one-bed rental: from 6,000–12,000 AED
  • Food for two: 3,000–6,000 AED
  • Transport (metro plus taxis): 800–1,500 AED

Figures depend on the area and lifestyle, so we will calculate an exact estimate for your format in advance.

Tip: for wintering it is cheaper to rent for 1–3 months directly through trusted holiday-home operators, as nightly rates in high season are far higher. Plan your arrival for early November, while prices are still below the peak.

During your stay we arrange , and yachts to suit your mood. Send your dates and budget and we will help with housing and a month's plan.
