When to go
- Weekdays November-April — ideal, queues 5-10 min on top rides
- Weekends November-April — 30-45 min queues
- Summer May-September — indoor parks (IMG, Warner Bros) only; outdoor closes midday
- Eid and DSF — peak load, queues 60+ min
What to bring
- Water bottle — parks don't mind
- Snacks (inside 60-100 AED per sandwich)
- Closed shoes and a hat for outdoor parks
- Phone strap or zip-pocket (rides shake)
- Powerbank — big day of photos and app navigation
Hacks
- Express Pass at IMG and Warner Bros — +100-150 AED a ticket, skips main-ride queues. Worth it on peak weekends.
- Eat outside the park — head to the mall food court for an hour, saves 20 %
- Height/weight limits on parametric rides — check before you go
- Photo booth shots are pricey (50-80 AED each), download free via the app where rides allow
- High-season time slots — pre-book online, walk-in may be sold out
Tip: on a 5+ day Dubai trip with two theme parks, do Day 2 (IMG indoor) and Day 5 (Yas Island combo) so the kid gets a recovery day in between.
