Dubai and Abu Dhabi are two different emirates 90 minutes apart. Dubai is shopping, skylines, nightlife, active tourism. Abu Dhabi is culture, long safe beaches, quiet luxury, the oil capital. For a 5-7 day trip you can fit both — 4 days Dubai + 3 days Abu Dhabi, or a day-trip from Dubai.

Tip: Abu Dhabi is busier on Friday and Saturday (local weekend). Sheikh Zayed Mosque peaks at 16:00-18:00 daily. Best photos without crowds: 06:00 at opening.
